COVID Policies

1. What are we doing for COVID?

a. We’re doing extra cleaning and disinfecting of surfaces
b. Very few people are allowed at the center at any given time
c. When possible, we hold sessions outdoors
d. We expect clients to be responsible and stay home if they have symptoms

2. Do we require mask wearing?
a. Yes, unless a session can be held outdoors
3. Cancellation policy due to COVID?
a. We are flexible for last minute cancellations due to confirmed COVID cases

ReConnect Center

1. Where is your center located?
a. The address for ReConnect is 8724 Mountain Crest Dr., Austin, TX, 78735
b. We are situated within a quiet neighborhood in a refurbished home
c. Our center is highly comfortable and welcoming, making it ideal for the treatments we provide
2. How many people does your center fit?
a. Our center is very spacious, but we purposely keep all classes to about 6 individuals at a time to ensure they remain as personalized and one-on-one as possible
b. There are 6 different rooms that each serve their own purpose and a lovely and spacious covered deck outside, which is perfect for outdoor yoga sessions
3. How many different services do you offer?
a. We currently offer 6 services which include Ayurveda, acupuncture, functional nutrition, holistic yoga, and mental health services
b. We aim to add more services and to grow our team in the near future
4. Are all your services provided in person at the center?
a. All of the services are provided in person, but we also have some online options for those that can’t make it in
b. Online consultations for Ayurveda and functional nutrition can easily be made through our site
c. We have a special online approach for those looking for Ayurveda treatment that is highly personalized
5. How do you approach treatments for your clients?
a. We have very carefully selected the team of professionals we have at our center, and they all work as one to ensure each client receives the absolute best course of treatment
b. Booking a consultation is recommended first and foremost, so we can get a good idea of who you are and what services will benefit you most
c. Each treatment plan is always personalized
d. We set up follow up calls or visits to touch base with how you are feeling and to answer any additional questions
6. How do I book a consultation?
a. Simply choose the service on our site you wish to have a consultation for and click the “Book Consultation” button towards the bottom of the page
b. Our contact information is also located at the top of our site if you’d like to reach out that way
7. Do you sell any products?
a. We do not currently sell any products, but we plan on changing that in the coming months

Holistic Yoga

1. How many different yoga classes do you offer?
a. We currently offer 6 different holistic yoga classes
b. We have couple’s yoga, yoga for anxiety, yoga for depression, yin and hatha yoga, yoga for children and teens, and yoga for pregnancy
c. Each class serves a unique and specific purpose
2. Do you have to be skilled in yoga to participate?
a. No! You can be a beginner or skilled yogi to participate and enjoy our classes
b. Yoga is a practice, and as long as you are not pushing past your body’s limits, there is no wrong way to partake
c. We have classes available for people of all ages
3. How many people are in each yoga class?
a. We intentionally keep our class sizes small so that they are more personalized
b. The class size will typically be a maximum of 6 people
4. How are your classes offered?
a. Our yoga classes are only offered in person right now
b. We have a designated yoga room
c. When it makes sense to do so, we can have classes outside on our covered deck
5. What does your yoga for children and teens entail?
a. Yoga for children is ideal for kids between the ages of 6 and 9
b. Songs and intuitive movement are integrated to keep things entertaining
c. Yoga for teens is designed to provide teens with methods that can help them lower stress, regulate their emotions, and enhance focus
6. What is yoga for pregnancy?
a. We offer prenatal and postnatal yoga classes
b. Prenatal yoga can help ease discomfort and encourage relaxation through special poses and breathing techniques
c. Postnatal yoga places an emphasis on breathwork to relieve tension and improve the posture, circulation, and strength
d. You have the option to come to postnatal yoga with your newborn or by yourself if you prefer

Functional Nutrition

1. What is functional nutrition?
a. Functional nutrition involves taking deep regard for an individual’s overall lifestyle – meaning their diet, exercise habits, sleep patterns, mental health, and environment
b. Personalized lifestyle changes are implemented to improve health concerns at the source

4. Do I need a consultation?
a. Yes, a consultation is necessary to gain insight of where your health is at and to make note of any constrictions there may be
b. A consultation allows us to accurately understand your specific wellness goals and to form a plan just for you
5. How long should I follow the lifestyle and nutrition program I’m provided?
a. Each person is different, and it depends on the unique wellness goals you have
b. Functional nutrition is all about the overall lifestyle, so you will ideally implement any changes for as long as possible
6. How long are appointments?

a. The consultations and subsequent appointments typically last around 1 hour

Ayurveda

1. What is Ayurveda?
a. Ayurveda is an ancient holistic practice that originated in India
b. It consists of a wide variety of different healing treatments that may involve healing herbs, oils, steam, and foods
c. The aim of Ayurveda is to restore the health and balance in each aspect of the being – mind, body, and soul
d. Since there are many different aspects of Ayurveda, treatments are incorporated differently for each person
e. Ayurveda provides you with a deeper understanding of how your own body operates
2. What can Ayurveda help with?
a. Ayurveda involves special holistic treatments as well as the implementation of lifestyle changes to reestablish the health of an individual
b. Ayurveda can help with digestive disorders, mental health, issues with the skin, high blood pressure, and autoimmune disorders – to name just a few of the possibilities.

3. Is Ayurveda backed by science?

5. Can anyone benefit from Ayurveda?

c. There are few restrictions on who can receive Ayurvedic treatment – it has shown to help young, old, sick, and healthy individuals
6. Do I need a consultation?
a. A consultation for Ayurvedic treatment is fully necessary first and foremost
b. An in-person consultation will last from 1h30 to 2 hours and will involve 4-5 steps for our practitioner to receive the essential information needed before integrating treatments
c. We offer online consultations that require video call capabilities and also last about 1h30 to 2 hours
d. Our practitioner can suggest different Ayurvedic lifestyle modifications to make after your consultation

Acupuncture

1. What is acupuncture?
a. Acupuncture is a 3,000-year-old practice that originated in China
b. Acupuncture involves a combination of different treatments, the most common being the use of very tiny needles that are placed on pressure points around the body to relieve ailments
c. Other practices that fall under this category include cupping, gua sha, ear seeds, acupressure, and electrical stimulation
d. Depending on what you wish to improve, your practitioner will know the specific pressure points to target
2. Does acupuncture hurt?
a. Acupuncture should not hurt – the majority of people report it to finally relieve pain they’ve been in and leave their sessions much more relaxed
b. The sensation is better described as a sense of slight pressure
3. How can acupuncture help?
